Node Glue subsystems

Description

The glue is all of the little stuff that ties things together on the node board

• Power-up reset
• CPU Crystal and clock divider for SPS sync
• RTC Crystal
• USB communications/power port
• USB filtering
• Debug (JTAG/UART) port
• DCOK and POWER_ON-OFF/
• Test points
• Configuration trace-cuts or solder jumpers
• Breakout to App Spec area
• Chip power decoupling
• Status LED

Node Schematic

Naming convention

It appears the last node version was v2 according to the Eagle files that have been checked in. However it is stated in our requirements page that this will be called node v4. The previous nodes were called CAN Nodes. This really is the first USB Node. However you look at it, this is the naming that seems to make the most sense:

• node4 = USB Node v4, which is the (ARM7 + SPS v2) 2006 capstone design

So the name of this board is: lv2-node4-frontend

BOM

• The quantity is the number of individual pieced needed. This number may need to be increased to fit the minimum order size.
• The first three columbs are Digi Key Fast-Add order format fields provided the quantiny is properly adjusted.

NOTES: (1) C285, 286, 287, 288, 291, 292 should be a 100 nF cap, not 10 nF.
