PSAS/ news/ 2004-06-07 - Trip to Timberline lodge to build the last of the V2 CPAs & measurement at PSU microwave lab

Who: Tim, Andrew and eventually Glenn.

Agenda:

  1. Drive up to Timberline lodge (~6,000ft MSL) and construct a Wifi (2.4 GHz) and a GPS (1.5 GHz) cylindrical patch antenna.
  2. Go to PSU and measure the VSWR and bandwidth.

Things we brought:

Things we should have brought:

What happened:

We tore up to Timberline lodge, built two CPAs in the restaurant/bar area, and zipped down to PSU to test them.

Andrew notes: Silcox hut person Shaundra 503.622.0756. $500 charge for 11:00am - 3:00pm

We met Glenn down at the PSU Microwave Lab and tested out the antennas we built. Here's the data:

Glenn comments: I really need to remember to place the marker over the resonant frequency when recording the screen shots.
