LV2 Team update:
Airframe (Brian):
- Has purchased aluminum for one airframe and 2 motor casings
- Need to make two complete airframes (flight article and backup)
- Will be doing vacuum lay-up of the airframes in the next couple of weeks
Propulsion (Matt):
- 1st batch of fuel has been characterized
- Tested motors with John Lingdal last weekend: successful test of a "K" and "M" motor (w/ MPEGs)
- 2+ weeks until PSAS motor test fire!
Avionics (Andrew, Ron & Paul):
- Nothing new on avionics; LV1b still taking priority
- GPS
- Ron & Dana may have access to a potential DGPS system
- Probably won't do uplink of DGPS on the 2m - too much feature creep!
- Paul still hasn't heard back from SiGEM
PR (Brian, Todd):
- Brian is creating a brochure for potential sponsors
- Michael - speaking to PSU Director of Enrollment
- Russian Rockets at OMSI on April 15/16: we'll organize for that during the April meeting
- Need to make more business cards for people
- PowerPoint presentation for schools (and potential sponsors?)
- Need to get letters of support from Hall/Casperson
Fundraising (Andrew, Brian, Michael):
- Tool vendors to contact: Matlab, OrCAD, Pads, (Veribest?), Material donations, development stuff
