The LPKF 91 Serial Cable
When we were out at LPKF in Wilsonville, we were able to map a LPKF serial cable using a multimeter. The 25 pin to 25 pin serial cable used a standard 25 pin to 9 pin converter. Here's the pin out of the 25 pin cable:
Male 25 pin (to LPKF) Female 25pin to PC's COM
1 RED + ORG soldered to sheild 1 RED + ORG soldered to sheild
2 PRP 2 BLU
3 BLU 3 PRP
4 WHT (jumpers to 20) 5 shorted to 6
5 Shorted to 6 ---- 6 YLW + shorted to 5
6 GRN + Shorted to 5 7 BLK
7 BLK 20 GRN
20 YWL + WHT (jumpers to 4)
We made our own 25 pin (M) to 9 pin serial cable (F) using Horiwitz and Hill. Here's the pin out:
