The schematic files (*.asc) only open with LTSpice/SwitcherCAD III which is available at

http://www.linear.com/company/software.jsp

When I opened up the file in PSpice for example it generated a text netlist.

There are no explicit notes about what various platforms it can run on but I used it on a Windows machine.
